'Innovation during Recession'

Recession comes as a vicious Cycle and impacts one and all after every few Years. It is hard to survive during those Times and our normal Life gets disrupted hugely. But, there are few who take this temporary setback as an Opportunity and do some Things which are not only surprising but are also Future Remedies for various problems. Basically, they start innovating.

I will tell you about some Innovations which have been done by people like you and me and hold immense promise for Future Growth:

1) Pencil Maker: A Chinese trio has invented a Pencil-making Machine. The speciality of this Machine is that it turns our Waste Papers into Pencils!!! You insert the Wastepaper into a slot. The Paper goes inside, gets rolled and compressed. the Machine then inserts a piece of Lead and puts some amount of Glue and voila.... a Pencil slides out. Isn't it amazing?

2) Flying Suit: Did you ever want to Fly in the open Sky, without any support? Just like a Bird..... A Connecticut-based Inventor has come up with an Idea of a Flying Suit or a Bat Suit. It is modelled as per the Bat's Style of Flying. It consists of a Pair of Strap-on Batlike Wings. Once you Wear it, you can Fly like a Bird (after some Training, ofcourse).

3) Eco-friendly fireworks: a Shanghai-based Local Fireworks Company has come out with a new Type of "Green" Fireworks to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. The Fireworks will have less Sulfur Dioxide being emitted. The Gas is not only harmful for Health but also forms Sulphuric Acid which causes Acid Rain. Think India must learn from the Idea, as we are the largest users of Fireworks in the World.

4) Mind-Reading Shopping Cart: A Smart Shopping Cart is undergoing Tests to enhance our Shopping Experience. It works like this:
The Shopper needs to first Text-Message to the Cart's built-in Tablet Computer about his/her Shopping List. The Cart uses its Technology to Track and follow the Shopper through the Store. It points towards Products on the Shelf as per the List. It warns one if he/she has taken something Extra. Also, it scans the Items automatically and one can even skip the Checkout Line after settling the Bill Online.

5) Forever "Clean" Shirt: This Shirt has a built-in Hydrophobic Nanotechnology in the Fabric which helps avoid Water-based Liquids by rolling them off. Thus, it avoids Stains formed through Drinks and Sweat.

The above are just some of the Ideas which came in the Minds of Common People and are sure to bring in a Revolution. Recession or not, nothing can stop an Idea whose time has come.

A Letter To God

Funny story about a an old lady who has no money :

A man worked in a post office. His job was to process all mail that  had illegible addresses. One day a letter came to his desk, addressed in shaky handwriting to God. He thought, "I better open  this one and see what it's all about." So he opened it and it read:  "Dear God, I am a 83 year old widow living on a very small  pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had a hundred dollars  in it which was all the money I had until my next pension check."

"Next Sunday is Mother's Day, and I had invited my last two friends  over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food  with." "I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can  you please help me?" The postal worker was touched, and went around  showing the letter to all the others. Each of them dug into his  wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the  rounds, he had collected 96 dollars, which they put into an envelope  and sent over to her.

The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of  the nice thing they had done. Mother's Day came and went, and a few  days later came another letter from the old lady to God. All the  workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read,  "Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?"  "Because of your generosity, I was able to fix a lovely dinner for  my friends. We had a very nice day, and I told my friends of  your wonderful gift. " "By the way, there was 4 dollars missing. It  was no doubt those thieving bastards at the post office!!!!!!

Positive Attitude At Workplace

A positive attitude in the workplace can make a big difference...

10 Things That a Positive Attitude In The Workplace Can Do.

Career success: Who is more likely to get promoted? Those who think positively and get results, or those who constantly complain and say something isn’t their job?

Stress reduction: You feel stressed when you see events or situations as stressful. Change your perception to something more positive and the stressful feelings will go away. Instead of problems, see issues as challenges, for example, from which you and your company can ultimately benefit. Try asking yourself how you can make something easier or more enjoyable. It's amazing what you come up with when you start asking yourself these types of questions.

Less sick days and better productivity: This is a side benefit of stress reduction.  Stress can have a serious negative impact on your health.  If you can reduce your stress, or the stress of everyone in your organization you'll enjoy better health, less sick days, and better productivity.

Improve customer relations and improve sales: Customers would rather deal with someone positive. Research has also shown that sales professionals who think positively and believe in the benefits of their product have much better sales performance.

Become a better leader: If you own a company or if you manage people, those who report to you usually get more from watching you than they do listening to what you’re saying. Be a good example of having a positive attitude in the workplace. Set goals and ask for people’s support in achieving them. Take a positive attitude approach to achieving those goals and to overcoming challenges. Your attitude and enthusiasm will spread throughout your workplace. A positive attitude is just as infectious as a negative one. Be careful about which one you’re fostering.

Improve the attitude of other employees or those who report to you: As I said, positive attitudes are infectious. Even if you’re an employee you can help create a positive attitude in the workplace by being the change you want to see. Refuse to participate in negative conversations. When you’re in a meeting or when you encounter a challenge, instead of dwelling on who’s fault it is or on the challenge itself, steer the conversation to focus on how the issue can be overcome. You might seem a bit odd to others at first, but your attitude will begin to affect change. Keep at it and keep focused on your goal of affecting change. Soon people will be drawn to you because they can’t help but like being in the company of somebody positive. And soon the attitude will spread throughout the workplace. Or at the very least, those who insist on staying negative won’t bother you anymore because they know you won’t entertain their negativity.

Improve teamwork: Teams are much more effective when the members are united in overcoming challenges and figuring out how they can achieve their objectives rather than dwelling on all the problems and obstacles that stand in their way.

Improve motivation for yourself and others: If you have a positive attitude about achieving goals and success in general, you will be much more motivated to take action. If you look at what you would like to accomplish and you see only the obstacles, your motivation diminishes pretty quickly. Ask yourself what might spur you to action.

Improve decision-making and overcome challenges: See challenges as opportunities to grow and become better. When you’re making a business decision, you can use this same approach and your options will really open up.

Improve Interpersonal Relations: People like positive people. They’re automatically drawn to a pleasant and upbeat demeanor. Your business and personal relationships will definitely improve when you employ a positive attitude. There are also techniques you can use to help improve other people's reaction and attitude toward you. (check out: 11 Can't Fail Tips for Improving Your Interpersonal Relations Skills for more information)

A Positive Attitude in the workplace can make an amazing difference.
